Is Arsenal a one-man team?

With Van Persie almost single-handedly pulling the Gunners out of the mire they were in at the start of the tournament, they have been labelled a one-man team. Van Persie has been integral to Arsenal’s resurgence, scoring 12 goals in his last eight games. The Dutch forward has 13 goals in 12 league matches this season and his double against Norwich last weekend made him the fifth player in the history of the Premier League to score more than 30 goals in a calendar year. Arsene Wenger has challenged his attacking players to prove that Arsenal are not over-reliant on their captain for goals in their weekend match Arsenal vs Fulham. If Arsenal is going to threaten for the title, it needs a team to finally put a dent in Manchester City’s perfect start to the season. Unbeaten City is five points clear of second-place United heading into Sunday’s away match Liverpool vs Manchester City. Liverpool is level on 22 points with Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea vs Wolves will be a highly entertaining match this weekend. Meanwhile, Manchester United vs Newcastle today.
